Angela Billingham

Angela Billingham has been working in metal since her days at college around 1970, where she started forming and gas – welding steel bars. She taught Art, Pottery and Design Technology in Birmingham schools for 39 years before retiring in 2010.

She became very passionate about working with reclaimed materials and loved igniting children’s imagination with plastic bottles, cornflake packetsand drinks cans. She has too many project ideas to venture far from the metal she loves at present but hopes in future to return to modelling and casting with clay and cement. Her most recent work is creating forged copper jewellery and making a sculpture from the metal in biscuit tins. Photographs of her work can befound in the gallery section on her website :- www.angelabillingham.webs.com She also has a Dropbox where recent jewellery made from gemstones, metal and found materials. The code for this is:- https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vbd4uc25r94hm2h/UtIVy-N_QD

Angela is happy to deliver workshops for private and community groups by prior arrangement. She has lots of experience with both adults and children and details can be found in her Dropbox and website.
